1 Ιαν 2014 · The transfer of someone else's liquor permit to you must be done pursuant to Ohio Administrative Code 4301:1-1-14. This rule states, in part, that a transfer must be in conjunction with a bona fide sale of the business or assets of the permit holder.

1 Ιουλ 2022 · Fortunately, ORC 4303.29 provides the transfer of certain permits through a process known as the Economic Development Transfer process (or “TREX”). This effectively allows an applicant to transfer a liquor permit to another area of the state.
This application IS required when a permit holder is transferring its liquor permit to another: • Owner (whether person or business) at the same location where the permit is currently issued (TRFO); • Owner at a different address location (TFOL); or. • Location where the current owner will continue to operate the permit (TRFL).

The main thing to remember regarding transfers is that: Liquor permits are NOT bought or sold; they are a privilege that can be transferred subject to state approval; Depending on the type of transfer, sales may or may NOT be permitted to continue pending transfer; and
