Unless exempt, a recreational saltwater fishing license and a lobster permit are required to harvest spiny lobster; Lobster must be landed in whole condition. Separating the tail from the body is prohibited in state waters.
Lobster Permit - 1 year. This permit, in addition to a valid saltwater fishing license, authorizes the holder to take, attempt to take, or possess Spiny Lobster (crawfish) for recreational purposes.
Recreational Vessel licenses are available for not-for-hire pleasure crafts that are registered recreationally for a fee of $2,001.50. Pier licenses are available for $501.50 annually and exempt persons fishing from a pier fixed to land from saltwater fishing requirements.
Submit new and renewal permit applications and check the status of submitted applications at any time. Claim and purchase your approved permits and print additional copies of active permits at any time.
This license covers all activities authorized by the lobster, snook, management area, muzzleloading gun, archery, crossbow, deer, turkey, and Florida waterfowl permits. Valid for 12 months from the specified effective date (cannot set effective date more than 90 days in advance).
