GENERAL INFORMATION. This document applies to single level decks only. The overall deck width at the house shall be equal to or greater than the distance the deck extends from the house. All wood in contact with the ground shall be approved pressure treated wood suitable for ground contact.
Three-inch (76 mm) and four-inch (102 mm) decking shall have a maximum moisture content of 19 percent. Decking shall be machined with a double tongue-and-groove pattern. Decking pieces shall be interconnected and nailed to the supports.
