If you are interested in becoming a licensed instructor in the State of Nevada, you must first have a current cosmetology, nail technology, aesthetics, or hair design license and have one year of salon experience.
The Nevada State Law Test is required for all individuals obtaining their first Nevada license. The law test is offered in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. Prepare for the practice test.
All applicants must apply to the board, pay a $100 fee, be at least 18 years of age and have the equivalent of a 10th grade education. The applicant must have passed a nationally recognized written test in the state of licensure. Nevada cosmetology licenses expire June 30 in every odd-numbered year.
