If you are currently enrolled in a cosmetology or hair design program in the State of Nevada and you have completed at least 50 hours in your school, you are eligible to take the Nevada State Law Test in order to obtain your license.

Licenses expire every two years on your birthday. Nevada currently charges a renewal fee of $70. If you renew late, you must add $20 for each month that you are late. During each two-year period, you are required to earn four continuing education units in infection control and safety.
