7 Ιουν 2012 · My friend's Cougar (full size, blue slide and frame, 9mm 8000F) is currently stored at my house. I think they are fantastic bargains and perfectly functional guns that are well-built, but the finish, while claiming to be the same as Beretta's Bruniton, is notably inferior to my Beretta PX4.
The Beretta Cougar 8000 came out during the 94-04 AWB and was arguably failed from the beginning due to taking neutered 10 round magazines while 15 round plus magazines were relatively affordable. The 8000 series has some incredibly complex machining that is required to accommodate the unique rotating bolt operating system.
31 Αυγ 2014 · I had thought the Cougar to be smaller than the 92/96 series more than want they appear in the photo. Great looking pistol, but apparently not the option I was hoping for concealed uses. I still want to get one, but the S&w 6906 may make a lot more sense for concealed carry.

18 Σεπ 2010 · The gun arrived in a plastic case, wrapped in a piece of heavy wax paper and absolutely soaked in oil. Came with a trigger lock, a bronze and nylon brush and a plastic cleaning rod with permenantly attached cleaning jag.
22 Σεπ 2012 · My guts are in an uproar after reading your great intro and poring over those stellar pics of your new Cougar...and then reading on and learning of the issues with the finish. I'll just bet that the company will ensure that this replacement pistol will be "spot-on" before they send it to you.
