I recently broke my phone that has my 2 factor authenticator for OSRS login, but i now have a new phone and I can't login to the game without the old one's authenticator code. Is there a way to re-scan my 2 factor QR code on the runescape website or do i need to deactivate it and make a new 2 factor QR to login with?
Once it s set up, the Authenticator uses a code generator app - such as Google Authenticator for Android, iOS, and Blackberry phones, or Microsoft Authenticator for Windows PCs and phones - to generate a six-digit code.
When logging into OSRS mobile there is an option for the device to be remembered for 30 days. Even after checking this option, I still have to have a new code generated every time I log in. Does anyone else have this problem?
Perhaps you should set up the two-factor authentication system for your account! You can exit the cave by the ladder. Seriously though, set up 2FA on both your email and RS account.
