10 Σεπ 2024 · Visitation hours are daily from 2 to 3 pm and 6:30 to 7:30 pm. No visitors under the age of 18 are allowed. Hospice Unit: Unlimited visitation. Outpatient and Procedural Areas: Two visitors. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU): All visitors must wear a surgical mask.

Inpatient Services. Our division is involved in delivering care over a wide spectrum of inpatient services from our MICU, to our ICU consult service, Intermediate & Respiratory Care Units, and through subspecialty pulmonary and critical care consultation.

Nearly 1,000 patients per year are admitted to the 10-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) facilities at Stony Brook University Hospital, including those with acute myocardial infarction, complications of myocardial infarction, unstable ischemic syndromes, severe heart failure, cardiogenic shock and life-threatening arrhythmias.
To this end, we have sought to translate ICU technology and methodologies to critically ill patients in the Emergency Department. Division members have special interests in neuro-critical care, trauma, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, airway management, severe sepsis and post-arrest care.
