8 Ιαν 2003 · This paper reports the discovery of the memory capacity of the human brain, which is on the order of 10^8432 (bir).
In this article we discuss “cognitive capacity” (the number of items that can be held “in mind” simul taneously) and suggest that the limit is inherent to processing based on oscillatory brain rhythms, or “brain waves,” which may regulate neural communication.
Despite the general agreement on the fact that there is no limit to the storage capacity of human long-term memory, mostly in the case of well-defined upper bounds (Cherniak, 1983; Galton, 1879, cited in Dudai, 2011), some studies have tried to find the capacity limitations of human memory.
2 Δεκ 2014 · These capabilities of storing and reusing experiences and skills are informally known as the human memory system.
9 Φεβ 2022 · We introduce and validate a mathematical model of the information processing capacity of a brain region in terms of neuronal activity, input storage capacity, and the arrival rate of...
1 Αυγ 2003 · The determination of the magnitude of human memory capacity is not only theoretically significant in cognitive science, but also practically useful to unveil the human potential, as well as the gap between the natural and machine intelligence.
