Waitlists are active from the first day of registration through the 4 th class day (fall and spring) or 2 nd class day (summer) in a semester. The department offering the class must turn on a list before it becomes available for students to join. Joining a Waitlist.

If it is turned on by the department, and all the seats in a class have been filled, students can join the waitlist. If a student in the class drops it, a seat opens up and is filled by a student on the list. GRADUATE AND PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION SCHEDULES. Students can check in Howdy (approximately mid-to-late March for Summer/Fall registration OR mid-October for Spring registration) to view their assigned registration times for both Galveston and College Station.
You can tell whether or not a class has a waitlist available by checking the schedule of classes in Texas State Self-Service. There are three columns that are displayed to help you know what your registration options are:
