Make sure your PC’s power mode is set to high performance, disable link state power management, set min and max processor state to 100%, and change cooling mode to active. Update to v17.0.2+8 of OpenJDK for 1.18.2 (latest v8 for 1.16.5 or older and latest v16 for 1.17.X).
I'd also love to increase my render distance as much as possible, and I was just wondering if Optifine was the best way to go in terms of fps, since I know there are some other options. Any suggestions? Playing on PC Java edition 1.17.1 (latest version)
Not that I can find, sorry. The majority of mod loafers haven’t updated yet given how early we are in the snapshot cycle. You’ll have to wait a bit longer.
