30 Οκτ 2023 · Just distal to the coronoid process, the proximal ulna bears the ulnar tuberosity onto which the brachialis muscle inserts. On the lateral aspect of the proximal ulna and just distal to the trochlear notch lies the shallow, rounded depression called the radial notch.

11 Μαρ 2024 · Styloid process of ulna. Overview of the bones that define the forearm, the radius and ulna. The styloid process of the ulna is a conical bony projection found on the distal end of the ulna. It projects distally from the posteromedial aspect of the head of the ulna.
Distally, the ulna is much smaller and terminates with a rounded head that articulates with the ulnar notch of the radius to form the distal radioulnar joint. The styloid process of the ulna extends distally and is the site of attachment for ligaments found in the wrist.
19 Σεπ 2021 · Prominent features of the ulna include: proximal: olecranon, trochlear notch, coronoid process, radial notch (lateral), sublime tubercle (medial) shaft: ulnar tuberosity. distal: head, styloid process, fovea, groove for extensor carpi ulnaris.
1 Οκτ 2024 · The distal end of the ulna is much smaller in diameter than the proximal end. It is mostly unremarkable, terminating in a rounded head, with distal projection – the ulnar styloid process. The head articulates with the ulnar notch of the radius to form the distal radio-ulnar joint.
18 Νοε 2022 · The radial sigmoid notch faces the hub of the ulna, and the proximal surface of the triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) faces the ulnar seat. The fovea and base of the ulnar styloid process are important attachments of the peripheral TFCC.
24 Ιουλ 2023 · At the distal end, the ulna consists of two protrusions – the ulnar head and the styloid process. The head of the ulna points downward and serves as an articulating surface for the radius in a groove called the ulnar notch.
