The second book's total spell levels are 1 (12)+2 (6)+3 (5)+4 (3)+5 (2)=61, for a total of 3,100gp. The total for both books would be 5,150gp.

Is there some way to carry this without just having a book in my backpack? Looking for something that would be out of the norm, and I didn't find anything in the forums.
6 Ιουν 2019 · A blank spellbook costs 50 gp. Recording a spell costs an additional 50 gp (and 2 hours) per level of the spell. Using these rules our example spellbook would cost 1200 gp to create. We can simplify this by assuming a default wizard progression.
30 Αυγ 2021 · An easy formula is to follow the cost of the gold that the wizard spent copying the spells into the spellbook, plus 25gp for the basic book itself (25gp). So a spellbook containing 1 x 3rd level, 3 x 2nd level and 5 x 1st level spells has a value of: (1x 3 x 50) + (3 x 2 x 50) + (5 x 1 x 50) +25 = 725gp.
It costs 50gp and two hours per spell level to inscribe a spell in a book. For the time value, a skilled hireling costs 2 gp per day, which for an eight hour workday would mean 0.25 gp per hour, or 0.5 gp per spell level.
