The Freedom Trail is a connective corridor, bridging the gap for cyclists between downtown Akron and Kent. Starting near the Portage Hike & Bike Trail in Kent, this multipurpose trail – on land owned by METRO Regional Transit Authority – follows an unused railroad corridor.
