18 Αυγ 2013 · Perplexed by this new problem, I started investigating and my the result is that sunshine mix #4 is a piece of crap mix with quality control issues. After finding several similar threads about this issue on ICMAG....everyone says the same damn thing - check your ph run-off and there's your answer.

9 Ιαν 2017 · Add to the confusion is there is a few Sunshine Mix #4 , standard #4, Sunshine Mix #4 Aggregate ( more perlite), and S.S.#4 Advanced( c/w coir). Is extra perlite the only difference between these "high porosity" mixes and the regular ones?
14 Φεβ 2017 · I’ve been using Pro-Mix BX for everything for years – seed-starting, bedding plants (about 50 flats/yr), perennials in trade gallons (about 1000/yr). It’s a little coarse for seed starting and a little light for perennials, but it works.
