Super 8, a movie that does not get enough recognition had the most breathtakingly intense train wreck scenes I have ever seen. I liked the movie but the problem with the train scene was that the train would have gone through that truck like it wasn't there.
I loved Super 8, but the third act needed re-writes. I think it fell short of 'instant classic' because they made the third act a horror instead of presenting the alien as a misunderstood benevolent creature. Instead he's a human-eating monster that is to be avoided and not understood.
