I would suggest doing first few play throughs either with Cheat codes or Savestates. My personal favourite is Contra Hard Corps, but I would suggest to play chronologically, starting with NES contra. For a beginner, my recommendation is either the GB Contra, or Super Contra.
3 Μαΐ 2020 · Contra (for the NES) code is: Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A B A before the word Contra scrolls to the title screen is finished. That'll give you 30 lives. Super C for the NES's code is: Right Left Down Up A B Start. Same as before, finish before the scroll is done for the title screen.
