Under the Florida Board of Governors Admission Regulation 6.005 if you are obtaining a high school diploma and an associate of arts (A.A.) degree through dual enrollment from an institution within the Florida College System or State University System, you have two options for admission consideration as a first-time-in-college (FTIC) student.
With a GPA of 3.93, University of Florida requires you to be at the top of your class. You'll need nearly straight A's in all your classes to compete with other applicants. Furthermore, you should be taking hard classes - AP or IB courses - to show that college-level academics is a breeze.
To be eligible for admission to a state college, a student must earn a standard high school diploma or its equivalent (General Educational Development – GED – or adult high school diploma) or demonstrate success in college coursework. State universities have a competitive selection process.

Most associate degree programs require 60 credit hours to earn a degree and most baccalaureate degree programs require 120 credit hours to earn a degree. Both of those degree programs require 36 credit hours in general education courses, including five core courses.
