11 Οκτ 2018 · Surge is a subtractive hybrid synthesizer. Each patch contain two scenes which are separate instances of the entire synthesis engine (except effects) that can be used for layering or split patches. Features a quick category-based patch-browser for the 1010 factory sound patches.

The Surge Synth Team is a group of musicians, developers, testers, documenters, and general volunteer open source enthusiasts who randomly assembled to work on the Surge Synthesizer. As the Surge project became more successful, and we kept having fun, we decided to branch out into other things too!
Surge XT is a free and open-source hybrid synthesizer, originally written and sold as a commercial product by @kurasu/Claes Johanson at Vember Audio. In September 2018, Claes decided to release a partially completed version of Surge 1.6 under GPL3, and a group of developers have been improving it since.
Surge XT by Surge Synth Team is a Virtual Instrument Audio Plugin for macOS, Windows and Linux. It functions as an Audio Units Plugin, a VST 3 Plugin, a LV2 Plugin and a CLAP Plugin.
