Modifying the survey to collect vehicle-specific information (i.e., data on usage in various vehicle types) and demographic data vastly increases our knowledge about the Ohioans who are likely to wear (or not wear)
For vehicle occupants younger than 65 years of age, the seat belt use rate was 84; in contrast 91% of occupants aged 65 or older were observed to be wearing seat belts. Recommendations: Several populations with low belt use rates continue to warrant targeted interventions.
