After the assistants have narrowed down their pools and packaged the audition pitches, casting as a whole holds a pitch meeting (sort of like college admissions, in a sense) where casting assistants are advocating for the applicants they've worked with to move forward.
You can apply anytime. Once every 12 months. Casting amps up in October. Two seasons are filmed in March - July. They cast for those seasons up to a week before filming. Year round there are always agents watching applications. You can hear back either call or email years later or as soon a day later.
What happens during the casting process? : r/survivor. From everything I’ve read, it sounds like the process goes: Phone call from producers. Written questions. More phone calls. Finals week in-person interviews. Health assessments. Final say. Is that correct? And does anybody know what happens in these interviews or at finals week?
