I’ve been on a mission the last week to test and try nylon velcro trap bands to solve my issue and test the assumption. Bands tested Coros-nylon straps Apex 2 Pro-Excellent fit and feel and allow for much better watch placement. Little to no indentation. Garmin-Ultrafit strap.
It does not slip and the watch does not bounce. I’m using it with the original metal bars of the silicone straps. I’m also thinking in a wider nylon strap, sand color or similar. But for now, this one is working fine for me.
If you contact the official Suunto support directly, they usually send replacement loops for free. Also, you don't need to remove the strap from the watch if you want to replace the loop, you can do that over the buckle.
