Windows Package Manager (aka WinGet) comes pre-installed with Windows 11 (21H2 and later). It can also be found in the Microsoft Store or be installed directly. In order to develop applications, particularly with the Swift Package Manager, you will need to enable developer mode.

21 Αυγ 2023 · IIRC Swift Package Manager doesn't actually require this privilege to work. The symlink action is for historical reasons and convenience, that the newest release and debug build directory is symlinked into .build/debug and .build/release, and some external tools relied on this path.
