Yahoo mail basic is still an available option for "low performance" browsers. Try switching to yahoo mail basic (this should be doable), then follow the link above to see if it gets yahoo mail classic. If not, then I'm out of ideas.
I was googling for solutions, and all I found were "print-to-PDF", "Configure POP/SMTP in the mail client" and "please download our amazing (Windows-based) application to download Yahoo Mail" stuff, hence this post here.
Is there a way to either PDF an entire batch of emails or to export them to be uploaded elsewhere? If you printed them all to PDF, no email software would be able to access them. You could use a free Outlook.com mailbox to POP the Yahoo mail server.

Honestly, if the old version didn’t have formatting issues with how emails are displayed I’d probably go this route, but at least the new version displays emails correctly like every other competent email client. Use eM Client instead. 64 votes, 43 comments. No more threats about them eventually forcing you to use the new (inferior) version either.
