While the Sync Box formerly was only able to support 60Hz images from connected consoles and 4K Blu-ray players, that figure is going up to 120Hz in an upcoming software update, so that any Sync Box owner can benefit from the upgrade.
Settings>Hue Sync Box> Your Sync Box name is where the firmware version can be found at. While its not explicitly stated in the changelog, this has fixed a problem I was having where my Xbox one X was not detecting the AV setup as HDR unless I toggled HDR off/on on the TV.
15 Σεπ 2024 · This version supports: Supports HDMI 2.1b with HDCP 2.3, up to 8k in 60 hz and 4k in 120Hz, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and HDR10+. It is compatible with eARC (via HDMI 4), VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode (confirmed by Hue X account Sept'24)).
They just announced today that the box will fully support HDR10+ and Dolby Vision with the latest update. As for the second HDMI, I just checked the manual for my Yamaha TSR-7850 and it says, "When “HDMI OUT 1+2” is selected, the unit outputs video signals at the highest resolution supported by both TVs (or projectors) connected to the unit."
