15 Σεπ 2024 · This is a page dedicated to the Philips Hue Play HDMI sync box 8K user. This version supports: Supports HDMI 2.1b with HDCP 2.3, up to 8k in 60 hz and 4k in 120Hz, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and HDR10+. It is compatible with eARC (via HDMI 4), VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode (confirmed by Hue X account Sept'24)).
To test, I plugged my Sky Q box directly into the TV (bypassing the Sync Box) and sound immediately fed through to the Sonos without any issue. I tried every audio setting on my TV, including switching from Bitstream to PCM, but nothing made a difference.
Main output goes to TV, monitor 2 output goes to sync box. I have tested with inputs from Apple TV, PS5, Xbox series X and it all works great. The only downside is that the sync box doesn’t automatically turn on/off, I have to manually start the sync in the app.
