Hey everyone, TaiG pushed a 2.2.1 update to the untether package via the 3k and Saurik repo. If anyone has any information in English, please post and I will update this post! Edit: According to TaiG's update log: 2.2.1 - Fixes setreuid patch to prevent applications from obtaining to root privileges through setreuid. Thanks u/noxemd!
The TaiG jailbreak tool lets you jailbreak any iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) running on iOS 8 – iOS 8.1.1 or iOS 8.1.2 – iOS 8.4. If you haven’t upgraded to iOS 8.4.1 yet and are on any of the compatible firmwares, then you can use this tool to jailbreak.
These are the main reasons that TaiG chose to release JB for 8.1.1. In addition, signing of 8.1 is closed earlier today, thus it could be a good time to update to 8.1.1 and jailbreak. 2 above is also in responding to the concern that TaiG may expose exploits too early.
