19 Οκτ 2019 · Tail risk beliefs have three properties that are helpful in explaining puzzling macroeconomic phenomena. They help explain persistent reactions to rare events, biased expectations, and, in environments where uncertainty matters, strong reactions to seemingly innocuous events.
These three components of tail risk correspond, respectively, to systematic tail risk, idiosyncratic tail risk, and tail risk cushioning of a stock. In the theoretical part, we propose a simple model of asset returns and show how it leads directly to our decomposition of tail risk.
Through the data established and documented since 2018 we can see trends that gives us more insight into our fatal fire issues. The #1 cause of fatal fires is smoking, and those most at risk include Michigan citizens over the age of 40.
