The Taylor County Historical & Genealogical Society (TCHGS) of Grafton, West Virginia, is a non-profit educational organization that was founded in 1985. The mission of TCHGS is to preserve and promote the history of Taylor County and its people.
Taylor County, West Virginia. Formed on January 19, 1844 from Harrison, Barbour, and Marion Counties. Named for the John Taylor (1753-1824), distinguished soldier and statesman of Caroline County, Virginia.
