We have used the phase failure relays manufactured by Taylor for the past 30 years. Currently, use both the Taylor PD and PND phase failure relays in our current style switchboards. See the attachments for the wiring diagrams, specifications, operating instructions etc. Released for: Schneider Electric USA.
Complementary. Maximum switching voltage. 250 V AC 250 V DC. Minimum switching current. 10 mA at 5 V DC. Supply voltage limits. 183...528 V AC. Control circuit voltage limits. 12 % + 10 % Un.
Features. Protect against: Phase Loss, Phase Unbalance, Reverse Phase, Overvoltage, and Low Voltage (undervoltage) faults. Logging events for later review. Keep a detailed record of occurring faults for future analysis. Digital Readout Display enables instant access to current conditions and review of past events with ease.
Phase failure relays are often used to control a shunt trip circuit breaker. When this is done, care must be taken to insure that the shunt trip circuit always has an adequate source available. This can be accomplished by using the diagram below. If a phase failure occurs on L2 or L3, the shunt trip coil will draw power from L1 through the control
Phase-Guard will automatically reset whenever the cause of the fault has been corrected and balanced voltage is restored. All models include DPDT output relay with 30 amp contact rating. A two line display shows the current state of the relay.
The most important feature offered by a solid-state overload relay (SSOLR) is phase loss protection. When a phase loss causes a significant current increase in the remaining phases of the motor circuit, there is a major increase in rotor current that can cause motor damage.
Monitoring of 3 phase voltage systems for phase failure. On phase loss the output relay is de-energized after an adjustable time delay \(contact 15-18 closed\) Created Date
