The 1,200-acre park encompasses some of the most beautiful riding country around, not far away from Kentucky's biggest city.
Camping options include 45 spacious RV sites with electric & water hook-ups, 10 equestrian sites with electric & water hook-ups, and 15 primitive tent sites along with options for group camping. A 24-mile trail system caters to hikers, bikers, and equestrians.
Taylorsville Lake State Park Campground is located close to the lake and has 70 single-family campsites for tents, trailers and RVs. There are 44 RV sites with electric hookups, 10 sites for equestrian campers (also with electric hookups), and 15 tent-only campsites.
Taylorsville Lake, KY is situated in central Kentucky within 1-hour's drive of over one third of the entire population of the State. The project is operated for flood control, quality water storage, outdoor recreation, and fish and wildlife preservation and enhancement.
