How much does it cost to attend courses? Through our affiliation with six community college districts, The Academy is able to provide effective, cost-efficient training. Course costs vary depending on length, equipment, instructional support required and other factors.

The Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC), founded in 1997, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving academic degree programs for professional educators, those who will teach and lead in schools, pre-K through grade 12. TEAC's goal is to support the preparation of competent, caring, and qualified professional educators.
Each Basic Police Academy applicant must: Pass the POST Reading/Writing Test (see test info and schedule); Pass the Physical Agility Exam (see test info and schedule); and; Complete the Academy Application process including medical clearance, proof of medical insurance, DMV history, DOJ Firearms Clearance.
CAEP’s scope of accreditation is the accreditation and preaccreditation of educator preparation providers (EPPs) that offer bachelor’s, master’s, and/or doctoral degrees, post-baccalaureate or other programs leading to certification, licensure, or endorsement in the United States and/or internationally.
The intensive basic academy is a full time, 1006-hour intensive course that satisfies the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) minimum training requirements for California entry-level peace officers.
