Your professional license or certification to work in Georgia may need to be renewed regularly. Expiration dates vary by industry and type of license or certification. Follow your licensing board’s instructions to renew your professional license.
If you are considering returning to teaching, but your professional certification has lapsed, you have many options to renew your certificate on your own. Georgia employers may also request non-renewable certification to allow you to work while completing renewal requirements.

To renew an expired certificate, the individual must meet all applicable renewal requirements outlined above, including any remaining Special Georgia Requirements, and submit an application packet with appropriate documentation to the GaPSC.
