The Application for the 2026-2027 Teaching Assistant Program in France is open from October 15th, 2024 to February 28th, 2025, with NO EXTENSION. NOTE: We do not allow the use of university emails (addresses ending in .edu) in applying to TAPIF as access to these emails is often lost once applicants no longer hold student status.

The Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF) is one of Villa Albertine’s longest running and most sought-after programs. Each year, TAPIF places around 1,300 Americans into French public schools to work as English language teaching assistants for 12 hours a week.
Assistants are required to do a number of tasks all in French, including completing immigration paperwork, opening a bank account, going to a medical visit, and working with French teaching colleagues on a daily basis.
