22 Ιαν 2024 · I recently purchased a used Technics 1200 off of eBay, which doesn't include a cart. I still have some money (~100 bucks) to go decently high-end. Does anyone have good cartridge recommendations or ones to avoid? Thanks!
8 Οκτ 2016 · I also have an SL1200 Mk5 and I use a variety of cartridges on it. The Denon DL103 is very highly regarded but it is low-compliance, while the Technics arm is at the light end of medium-mass, so they are not the best theoretical match.

So I bought a Technics SL-1200 MK2, and have a Nakamichi Stasis SR-3A. There is a cheap Stanton Craze cart on it and am looking to upgrade. My budget is around, and can go a little north of, 200$.
