Offering 40 miles of trails, Upper Tellico’s 8,000 acres are known for great fourwheeling. The Tellico River crosses this high elevation basin’s rugged, steep terrain. Most trails are open to all types of off-highway vehicles; one trail is restricted to all-terrain vehicles only.
24 Φεβ 2009 · This 5.8-mile dirt road runs across the park from North Carolina to Tennessee. Riders are encouraged to keep speeds below 20 mph here as there are many sections with steep cliffs. While camping is not permitted within the OHV area, several campgrounds are located nearby.

There is a thread in "layin down tracks" that introduces the Tellico Adventure Trail, for planning, info, and .gpx file. But I figured this would be a better place for people to see the reports of those riding it.
30 Ιαν 2009 · The Tellico Off-Road Vehicle Area in North Carolina’s Nantahala National Forest has over 40 miles of off-highway vehicle (OHV) trails—twice as many as are legally allowed by the U.S Forest Service.
The trails are open to all uses-trail bikes, all-terrain vehicles, and four-wheel drive vehicles-except one trail that's open to ATV use only. Offering 40 miles of trails, Upper Tellico's 8,000 acres are known for great fourwheeling.
The Upper Tellico Off-Road Area is a high basin located in the Unicoi Mountains. The area had several private owners including timber companies from 1950 until 1969. It was heavily logged. The roads built for logging were abandoned.
