24 Φεβ 2009 · This 5.8-mile dirt road runs across the park from North Carolina to Tennessee. Riders are encouraged to keep speeds below 20 mph here as there are many sections with steep cliffs. While camping is not permitted within the OHV area, several campgrounds are located nearby.
Offering 40 miles of trails, Upper Tellico’s 8,000 acres are known for great fourwheeling. The Tellico River crosses this high elevation basin’s rugged, steep terrain. Most trails are open to all types of off-highway vehicles; one trail is restricted to all-terrain vehicles only.

17 Οκτ 2014 · 4,318. Location: Farmhouse Inn, Tellico Plains, TN. There is a thread in "layin down tracks" that introduces the Tellico Adventure Trail, for planning, info, and .gpx file. But I figured this would be a better place for people to see the reports of those riding it.
The 43 miles of trails are famous for having some of the best 4x4 trail riding in all of the U.S. The closest towns are Murphy, NC south of the area and Tellico Plains, TN northwest down along Tellico River.
19 Οκτ 2024 · The Upper Tellico ORV Area is famous for some of the best 4x4 trail riding in all of America. Names like Guardrail, Helicopter Pad, Slick Rock and School Bus all conjure up visions of rock piles, steep hills and off camber ascents to challenge offroaders of all experience levels.
