Every monster in runescape has a "rare" chance to drop the key token, so I was curious if I farm the smallest monster with that rare chance, would be optimal. I also don't know if it's time-gated.
You used to be able to do this for free by hoarding oddments by converting almost everything and using them to buy keys/lamps/stars when they were very often 50% off. It's how I have >100k oddments. Unfortunately they've removed sales and tweaked prize payouts so this is much less sustainable.
Monsters that drop treasure trail keys drop them only when the player is in possession of that clue. It is worth noting that for clue steps involving keys, it is possible to obtain the key before reading the hint, which could save the player some time.
Using chins on the healers was the key for me to get my first cape. It made tagging the healers super easy and I was able to kill all 4 pretty much at the same time before attacking Jad again.
Loot keys allow the player to retrieve the loot stored in the Loot Chest after defeating an opponent in a dangerous PvP activity. In order to receive loot keys instead of having the items dropped on the ground by the defeated opponents, the player must pay 1,000,000 coins to Skully in the Ferox Enclave and turn on the associated setting.
