6 Οκτ 2020 · Dosage instructions. Give oral forms of Terramycin for dogs either an hour before feeding or two hours after feeding. When administering Terramycin ophthalmic ointment, use your finger to gently open the lower eyelid and smear a small amount onto the inside of the lid.
The usual dose is 10 mg per pound (20 mg/kg) every 12 hours orally in both dogs and cats. The usual injection dose is 5 mg per pound (10 mg/kg) every 24 hours intramuscularly. The eye ointment formulation is applied to the eyes three to four times daily.
Oxytetracycline (brand name Terramycin®) is an antimicrobial medication used to treat bacterial infections in cats, dogs, cattle, sheep and horses. It may be used “off label” or “extra label” to treat bacterial infections in other species.
Follow your vet's exact instructions. Terramycin is typically applied 2-4 times per day. Do not stop administering medication or change your pet's dosage without tralking with your vet first.

26 Αυγ 2024 · Dosage and Administration. Terramycin (Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride and Polymyxin B Sulfate Ophthalmic Ointment) should be administered topically to the eye 2-4 times daily. RECOMMENDED STORAGE: Store at controlled room temperature between 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F), with excursions between 15° to 30°C (59° to 86°F).
