2 Σεπ 2021 · The diagram above shows the possible locations I am considering, but I am not sure what is best. It is a two car garage, and the Tesla will be the only car parked there. Location 1 - This is closest to the electrical panel, so it would be optimal in terms of electrical wiring and cost.
On the touchscreen, navigate to Controls > Charging > Open Charge Port. Press the bottom of the charge port door when Model Y is unlocked. On the key fob accessory (sold separately), hold down the rear trunk button for 1-2 seconds.
31 Μαρ 2021 · I believe that Tesla includes the length of the charging connector in the 8.5 foot measurement of the charging cord, also the 18 foot charging cord. Take the length of the Model Y as 187 inches (15 feet, 7 inches).

Tesla produces what are arguably the most desirable EVs on the market today and they sell a branded EV charger, which I installed in my garage. Although this Instructable will be describing my experience in installing a Tesla charger, the steps should be similar to those required for another brand of charger.
