tetr.io's desktop application is probably the best desktop tetris game overall, although it's much more multiplayer-oriented with a lot less casual features. It does keep a leaderboard of your scores for 40-line sprint and 2-minute blitz, but it doesn't have a dedicated Marathon mode.

I’ve just started playing TETR.IO and I’m not comfortable on the default controls, nor am i any good at choosing controls for myself. Any suggestions?
Added a Legacy build for Windows 7 through 8.1, based on Electron 22 (Chromium 108). Native builds for Apple Silicon (arm64) are now available. Added a new startup animation. Added a connection error screen (instead of kicking you to a black screen of death). The Windows version is now signed.
