STAR Kids. Texas Children’s Health Plan offers no-cost health coverage for children and young adults under the age of 21 with disabilities who cannot afford health insurance. STAR Kids is a Medicaid-managed care plan. This plan helps children and young adults under the age of 21 with disabilities.
After you get your enrollment form, you will need to write in Texas Children’s Health Plan as your health plan. You will also need to pick one of our doctors to be your primary care provider. If you need help filling out the form, call the CHIP Help Line at 1-800-964-2777 and tell them you want to choose Texas Children’s Health Plan.
