STAR Kids is a Medicaid-managed care plan. This plan helps children and young adults under the age of 21 with disabilities. We offer STAR Kids in the Harris, Jefferson and Northeast Service Areas. What does STAR Kids cover? How does it work? Star Kids is similar the STAR (Medicaid) program.
If you receive benefits through Medicaid’s STAR or STAR Kids Program, call your medical or dental plan first. If you don’t get the help you need there, you should do one of the following: Call Medicaid Managed Care Helpline at 1-866-566-8989 (toll free).
