The Texas Courts of Appeals are part of the Texas judicial system. In Texas, all cases appealed from district and county courts, criminal and civil, go to one of the fourteen intermediate courts of appeals, with one exception: death penalty cases.

1 Σεπ 2014 · Because the Waco Court of Appeals consists of only three members and handles a moderate caseload, it has no need to divide itself in panels. Chief Justice Gray often dissents with a footnote. See example below. As of April 1, 2015, the court does not make briefs available for online viewing.
