Some key info: I’m a female and was arrested at 28 with my first DUI charge and received it while living in Texas at the beginning of 2022. BAC came in at .21 and I had crashed my car into the curb when the cops found me.
This is my first Reddit post and DWI. I was charged with a DWI in Texas in 2021, im in a pre trial intervention program for a year, I’ve had an IID in my car since the arrest. I blew over a .15 and was in a minor accident.

I got my first (and only 🤞🏼) DWI in Texas. It took over a year for me to get my court date but once I did I was sentenced to 18 months probation. It definitely sucks not being able to drink and smoke but other than that it’s been pretty easy.
My ALR hearing with the Texas DPS was a fail, so I had to serve a 90 day suspension and paid a $125 reinstatement fee online. Luckily it coincides with the last 3 months of my IID and I work entirely from home.
Texas is extremely strict with DWI (It is actually one of the crimes that you can not get early termination for). In probation, you can apply for unsupervised probation halfway through if you are compliant with conditions.
Dallas Texas related. So i got my first DWI last night. Anyone familiar with the Dallas area knows by Preston road and university park. I was driving around midnight and had a front light out. Next thing you know the cops were behind me and had their lights on. The officer told me he stopped me because of the light and that I also was swerving.
