Control-clicking opens a shortcut menu that includes the copy and paste commands. You can also set up a right-click on a mouse or trackpad that opens the same shortcut menu. See Right-click on Mac. On your Mac, select the text or item you want to copy. Control-click the selection, then choose Copy from the shortcut menu.
I would like to be able to copy and paste multiple items on a Mac using key shortcuts. For example, ⌘ 1 would copy item 1 and ⌘ 2 would copy item 2, etc. Then ⌘! would paste item 1 and ⌘ @ would paste item 2.
11 Δεκ 2015 · In 2022, the simple way to do this without any scripting or third-party products is to use the Shortcuts app. In the Shortcuts app, click + to create a new shortcut. Double-click or drag the Text action from the Action Library panel to the editor. Enter your text phrase in the text field.
23 Αυγ 2023 · Press Command-V on your keyboard to paste the item you cut or copied. Or choose Paste from the Edit menu in the menu bar. Or Control-click (or right-click) the item you selected, then choose Paste from the shortcut menu.
17 Δεκ 2021 · 1 Answer. Sorted by: 0. If you're using a laptop, then you may have it set to force click - a sort of harder click -- resulting in looking up a word. Go to settings, search for force click, disable it, and you won't have this problem again.

Cut: Select the text or item you want to cut (remove and copy). Press Command + X. Paste: Position your cursor where you want to paste the copied or cut item. Press Command + V. Copy Command Cut ...
3 Φεβ 2024 · If you’re copying and pasting text with formatting you don’t want, try using Command (⌘) + Shift + V to paste without formatting. Keep in mind that you can use these shortcuts in most applications on your Mac, not just word processors or text editors.
