I wanted to see if anyone had any feedback on Thales Academy. We are looking at all our options, both public and private and are interested in feedback. We took a tour of the school last night.
16 Φεβ 2024 · Many educators believe that accreditation is a sign of legitimacy. However, at Thales, we believe that rigid processes quickly become obsolete because the world is dynamic and constantly changing. Thales Academy made the decision to reject accreditation because it is a process of legacy inputs, not outcomes.
10 Οκτ 2024 · Thales Academy was one of the worst school experiences that I’ve ever had. I’m so glad I’m leaving. The clubs, elective classes, and athletics were extremely sub par and poorly managed. The teachers do not make class engaging for students and I’ve had multiple teachers says that the learning environment should not be “fun.”
Don't know if this matters but the millionaire owner of Thales was maxing out his campaign contributions to support republican Apex town hall candidates. He plastered signs everywhere and never made mention that he paid for them. He's kind of a dick.
The public school system in Wake County seems to be caught in a political tug-o-war, with constant rezoning, common core, schedule changes, etc. We feel Thales will be more consistent while offering a high quality product for a reasonable price. Hope that helps!
