I have been debating writing my own book titled "The Midnight Club" as a satirical rebuttal to "The 5AM Club" (although may need to consider alternative titles to not conflict with the incomparable Mike Flanagan's somewhat recent Netflix series of the same name).

Genuinely the worst book I have read as an adult. It felt like the author was trying very hard to create his own version of The Alchemist but forgot to actually read The Alchemist. I knew it was bad 20 pages in but was hoping it would get better. By the end I was hate-reading to get it over with.
