Though the movie was entirely fictional, the themes I saw in the film reminded me of real events that have happened in the world, such as Chernobyl and DuPoint poisoning. It hit me hard emotionally for that reason. That was just my personal experience of watching the film, though.
I still have no idea what exactly is happening in the film, but loved how the people in the film are somewhat oblivious to how creepy everything is. And the photos in the credits at the end where the girl is visible make it extra creepy for the viewer.

It stars Kether Donohue, Nansi Aluka, Christopher Denham, Frank Deal, and Kristen Connolly and premiered at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival.
