I'd say Through the Dragon's Eyes would be a better place to start. I got into The Dark Tower four years ago, at 18, 19 years old. I'd say it's age appropriate for 16+. Same with the graphic novels.
I haven’t read these books in years and I’m anxiously awaiting the day my bookworm daughter will be old enough to read them. I was thinking age 14 in general across the board for all his books (except the Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon and the Eyes of the Dragon, which are kid friendly).
